This is one of my all times favorite! A few years ago I was visiting some good friends in Connecticut and they invited me to a happy hour at the Riverside Yacht Club. I had mentioned I was looking for boats and night reflections for inspiration to a new painting. I couldn't have hoped for more! I took several pictures and worked with at least 3 to come up with this final composition. One had the perfect sky and the moon. The other had a good composition with the boats and a few details I used from other shots. If I am unable to work on-site, I get lot's of references so that I can capture best the atmosphere for my final piece.
